The Charles Stewart Howard Playhouse of Woodland Hills presents A PIECE OF MY HEART, a play about the unsung American women who served in Vietnam.

The play is directed by Marshelle Giggles-Mills, the Artistic Director of the Playhouse. A PIECE OF MY HEART is a powerful drama about six women who served in Vietnam. The play portrays each young woman before, during and after her tour in the war-torn jungle and ends as each visits the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington.

Winner of The Barbara Deming Prize for Women Playwrights and the Kittredge Foundation Award, it has been named "The most enduring play on Vietnam in the nation" by The Vietnam Vets Association.

Jessica Worland of Chatsworth returns for her third year as Set Designer and Prop Builder. Kristine Gilreath of Woodland Hills returns for her third show with the theater, this time as Stage Manager, assisted by Brittany Joy Sundman who is joining the theater for the first time. Suzanne Ryan, the theater’s founder and a resident of Lake Balboa, serves as the show’s producer. The show features a diverse cast from the West Valley and surrounding neighborhoods. Cast members include Bradley Sharper, Caitlyn Rose Massey, Chris Clonts, Jaime Dorsch, Janet Lee, Kaleen Ugai, Markietha Ka ‘Von, Mackayla Hill, Nancy Woods, Paulina Logan, Sarai Jiménez, Silky Eugenia Bell, and Tuesday Grant.
